[PL] Koniec tygodnia w duchu PTI – konkurs, medale, sekcja

LOGO__PTI_oddziałdolnyśłąskPiątek, szesnastego stycznia zapowiada się niezwykle ciekawe dla osób związanych z Polskim Towarzystwem Informatycznym. Dwa ciekawe spotkania, pozwalające na spotkanie z kilkoma znajomymi, poznaniem nowych osób oraz integracji społeczności informatycznej.

Najpierw w samo południe na terenie Politechniki Wrocławskiej odbędzie się finał oraz wręczenie nagrów w XXXI konkursie na najlepszą pracę magisterską z Informatyki. Konkursie, który stworzył i od ponad trzech dekad (od 1984 roku) prowadzi Polskie Towarzystwo Informatyczne, a od niepamiętnych czasów opiekę nad tym konkursem obejmuje Oddział Dolnośląski w ramach którego mam przyjemność działać. Celem tego konkursu jest:
a) podnoszenie poziomu prac magisterskich z zakresu informatyki,
b) wymiana i porównanie doświadczeń oraz osiągnięć dydaktycznych różnych informatycznych środowisk akademickich poprzez prezentację najlepszych prac magisterskich,
c) propagowanie PTI wśród młodzieży studenckiej oraz nawiązanie więzi pomiędzy dyplomantami a Towarzystwem.
W konkursie mogą brać udział nie tylko dyplomanci kierunków informatycznych, lecz także innych kierunków studiów, którzy w pracach dyplomowych stosowali zaawansowane metody informatyki.

Poniżej lista nagrodzonych prac, których tematy są bardzo ciekawe, które może będzie mi dane przeczytać:

  • Pierwszą nagrodę w wysokości 5.000 zł otrzymał
    • mgr Tomasz Kociumaka za pracę pt. Approximation algorithms for capacitated facility location problems wykonaną w Uniwersytecie Warszawskim (Wydział Matematyki, Informatyki i Mechaniki, Instytut Informatyki; promotor: dr Marek Cygan).
  • Dwie równorzędne drugie nagrody w wysokości po 4.000 zł otrzymali
    • mgr Daniel Malinowski za pracę pt. Uczciwa loteria oparta na systemie Bitcoin wykonaną w Uniwersytecie Warszawskim (Wydział Matematyki, Informatyki i Mechaniki, Instytut Informatyki; promotor: dr hab. Stefan Dziembowski, prof. UW)
    • mgr Marcin Wrochna za pracę pt. Reconfiguration and structural graph theory wykonaną w Uniwersytecie Warszawskim (Wydział Matematyki, Informatyki i Mechaniki, Instytut Informatyki; promotor: dr hab. Marcin Kamiński).
  • Trzecią nagrodę w wysokości 3.500 zł otrzymała
    • mgr inż. Joanna Patrzyk za pracę pt. Graficzne i programowe wsparcie dla symulacji obliczeń kwantowych wykonaną w Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej w Krakowie (Wydział Informatyki, Elektroniki i Telekomunikacji, Katedra Informatyki; promotor: dr inż. Katarzyna Rycerz).
  • Trzy równorzędne wyróżnienia po 2.500 zł otrzymali:
    • mgr inż. Jakub Krzywda za pracę pt. Pattern-based semistructural data mining wykonaną w Politechnice Poznańskiej (Wydział Informatyki, Instytut Informatyki; promotor: prof. dr hab. inż. Tadeusz Morzy),
    • mgr inż. Michał Nowicki za pracę pt. Development and implementation of a visual odometry algorithm for mobile devices wykonaną w Politechnice Poznańskiej (Wydział Elektryczny, Instytut Automatyki i Inżynierii Informatycznej; promotor: dr hab. inż. Piotr Skrzypczyński, prof. PP),
    • mgr Damian Straszak za pracę pt. Approximation Hardness for Shortest Reset Word wykonaną w Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim (Wydział Matematyki i Informatyki, Instytut Matematyczny; promotor: prof. dr hab. Andrzej Kisielewicz).

Drugą częścią tego wydarzenia będzie wręczenie medali XXX-lecia PTI uchonorowanym przez Zarząd Główny PTI członkom (byłym i obecnym) Oddziału Dolnośląskiego Polskiego Towarzystwa Informatycznego:
