 ZAPRASZAM DO REJESTRACJI I UCZESTNICTWA

Człowiek generalnie uczy się całe życie, a każdy nowy dzień daje szansę na odkrycie czegoś nowego. Ja w okresie wielkanocnym odkryłem portal Microsoft Feed który, krótko mówiąc jest tworem “influencerskim”. Mozna tam znaleźć sporo informacji o spotkaniach grup na  całym świecie, w tym bardziej dla nas egzotycznych miejscach jak Arabia Sudyjska, Liban, Cypr, Indie, Pakistan, Turcja.  Można znaleść ciekawostki związane ze swiatem Microsoft (jak np Windows 7 Theme – Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix 2010). Można też, co uważam za najciekawsze przeczytać olbrzymią ilość wywiadów z profesjonalistami z całego świata, nominowanymi do nagrody Most Valuable Professional w cyklu Meet MVP from…. Wśród nich nie brakuje oczywiście wywiadów z naszymi polskimi MVP: Meet Paula Januszkiewicz – Enterprise Security MVP from Poland oraz Meet Karol Stilger – Setup & Deployment MVP from Poland.  Wywiady odnoszą się do samego posiadania MVP, zainteresowań, trochę strefy prywatnej, a przede wszystkim zawierają zdjęcia “wywiadowanych” co pozwala poznać ich twarze i może kiedys zagadnąć na jakiejś międzynarodowej konferencji.

Pisałem już na blogu o cyklu sesji na temat SLA dla ITprosów jaki przygotowywałem dla portalu VirtualStudy.pl. Niestety z przykroscią muszę napisać, że plan nie powiódł się. Udało mi się przeprowadzić pierwszą część cyklu, czyli: Wprowadzenie do SLA, a potem kilkukrotnie wystąpiły tzw: Unplanned System/Resources Outtages. Czasem związane z obowiązkami zawodowymi, czasem z dostawcami zewnętrznymi. Efektem tego było najpierw przesunięcie, a następnie odwołanie pozostałych trzech części w cyklu. Na całe szczęście udało mi się uporządkować zasoby i zmusić do prawidłowego działania moje srodowiska, na skutek czego w miesiącu kwietniu przeprowadzę wszystkie trzy sesje. W pierwszej sesji cyklu mieliśmy okazję zapoznać się z ogólnymi zasadami funkcjonowania umów SLA, wymagań ich stosowania czy zakresu odpowiedzialności. W tej części chciałbym przedstawić jakie mechanizmy są dostępne dla systemu Microsoft Windows Server aby zmaksymalizować funkcje wysokiej dostępności.

Ponieważ udało nam się zrozumieć podstawy funkcjonowania rozwiązań wysokiej dostepności, czas by przyjrzeć się drugiemu (po Windows Server) z najważniejszych i najczęściej objętych umowa SLA środowisku: Microsoft SQL Server. W jaki sposób zabezpieczyć to środowisko? Co wspólnego może mieć z tym DBA? Jakie rozwiązania przynosi SQL Server 2008/2008 R2? Na te pytania postaramy się odpowiedzieć w trzecim odcinku naszego cyklu.
21.04.2010 | Wysoka dostępność infrastruktury komunikacyjnej (Exchange, Sharepoint)
Zarówno Windows Server jak i SQL Server stanowią podstawę naszych rozważań o wysokiej dostępności i jej znaczenia w umowach o świadczenie usług. Oba środowiska “siedzą” sobie gdzieś na zapleczu. Zaś użytkownicy końcowi mają styczność przede wszystkim z produktamu typu Exchange Server czy SharePoint Server. Czy te środowiska również podlegają naszym rozważaniom? Czy dla nich też mamy spełnić wymagania SLA?

Tych z czytelników mojego bloga, którzy nie mieli okazji zapoznać się z sesją wprowadzającą do tematyki, bądź zdążyli już zapomnieć zachęcam do obejrzenia screencastu z tej sesji, udostępnionego nie tak dawno temu na portalu Virtualstudy.pl. Aby go obejrzeć należy być zalogowanym do portalu. Aby uczestniczyć w kolejnych częściach cyklu należy byc zarejestrowanym na sesje (z tego co mi wiadomo poprzednie linki będą działały).
